North Sands type cargo vessel built 1942 by Burrard Dry Dock Co., North Vancouver with engine by Dominion Engineering Works, Montreal, for MoWT (managed by Ellermann Wilson Line), Bristol. 1946 - Sold to Temple SS Co (Lambert Bros), London, ands renamed TEMPLE BAR. 1959 - Sold to Wallem & Co., Hong Kong and renamed NORD SKY. 1959 - Sold to the Peoples' Republic of China and renamed HOPING 27. 1967 - Renamed ZHAN DOU 27 (same owner). She was 'deleted' from Lloyds Register in 1992.
