Quilt

'Strippy' style quilt from the Scottish Borders, about 1900. Top cover made of panels of alternating pink and white cotton strips, the other side of plain white cotton. Quilting pattern consists of vertical rows of motifs, including chain, cicular motif enclosing an eight petalled flower, scallop shell pattern, diamond pattern enclosing flowers, and a vertical pattern down centre.
