Treherbert Hospital operating theatre sheet; made from 2 pieces of dark green plain woven cotton lawn; weave count: warp = 44 weft = 48; each piece is 1 loom width of approx 95 cm and cut to length to form a square; the 2 pieces are joined with machine stitching along all sides; the selvedge sides have a single line of running stitch in black cotton thread 3 S spun Z plied; the top and bottom sides have 2 lines of running stitch, 1 in black thread close to the edge, the top side is green thread on the front side and white thread in the spool and the bottom edge has green thread on the front and reverse up to 72cm along when it is swapped for a white thread.

There are labels sewn to each piece of sheet, one on the front and one on the reverse; the labels are made from rectangles of white plain woven cotton; weave count; warp = 28 weft = 28 and the text is embrodiered on by machine, free-hand in red cotton thread; the labels are sewn to the sheet around the edge using the same red thread (S piled); each lable has a stamp in red ink; the one on the front side is a little blurred.
