The larger ususally ornamented with one or more sunk beads round the middle, and the summit of the lip occasionally reeded. (On a separate accession card) Fragments of bowls of common black pottery with upright sides, saucer-like bottoms, and flanged lips; more thinly built than their red-ware representatives, and occasionally with band of wavy ornament produced by a toothed instrument.
