Documents relating to the origins of Rhiw Goch, Tay y Wern, including infromation supplied by Cadw, tithe maps and census records. Rhiw Goch was run as a guest house by Reg Mickisch and George Walton.
Reg Mickisch and George Walton met in 1949 and were together for over 60 years, passing away within a few weeks of each other in 2011. Their story features in Mike Parker’s 2019 book On the Red Hill.
