These fragments are from a calf. The fragments have a few large cut marks.
The surfaces of these fragments have an orange residue that looks like oxidisation. There are a few possible explanations, they were perhaps in a patch of iron rich clay, or some iron object was in the soil next to the bone but was later lost. The context is Bronze Age and no later iron work was kept from this site.
