A cast silver badge of Charles I. It is oval with a small suspension loop. The obverse depicts a portrait of Charles I, right. The reverse depicts the Royal arms, crowned, within the Garter. Medals like these were produced a the King's mint in Oxford for presentation to the King's supporters, c. 1643-5.
