King George III riding on a horse rearing to sinister over undulating land; he wears plate armour and is bare-headed, over his cuirass are the ribbon and badge of the Garter (Wyon), in his right hand a short drawn sword. Fringed saddle cloth; in a holster a pistol (Birch). Beneath and beyond the horse, a distant view of London.
