Teapot and cover of soft-paste porcelain with creamy translucency; London shape, oblong with rounded corners, spreading foot, bulbous body and concave shoulder; a square handle with internal spur; the spout of triangular section; a domed strainer inside; the cover plateau-shaped with a pyramidal knop with a gadroon-moulded band. Painted with sprigs of small flowers; the edges of the cover and the foot and both edges of the shoulder of the teapot lined in gilt; two small gilt flower sprigs on the spout; gilt decoration also on the spout and handle. The glaze on the teapot is crazed; there is a lengthwise crack across its base, and tears at each handle terminal and the join of the spout and body; there are a crack and tears in the cover.
