The stock sheet gives details of the number of slates available from The Welsh Green Slate Quarries Ltd on the 24th August, 1914, in different sizes (ranging from 20’’ x 12’’ to 8’’ x 8’’), and different quality (‘best green’, ‘seconds green’, ‘best rustic’, ‘seconds rustic’). The price list is printed on cream paper. The donor’s family were timber merchants in Taunton, Somerset. They supplied timber and slate to local builders and merchants, and as a result acquired a collection of stock sheets and slate price lists from various slate quarries.
