A Welsh Folk Museum Answer Book, 1962, received from the Rev. D. Jacob Davies, Allt y blaca, Lampeter (1916-74) containing local vocabulary used in the area's of Tregroes/Maesmeillion, Llandysul, c.1942. Answer Books were sent out by the Welsh Folk Museum to individuals across Wales as a way of collecting and documenting information on aspects of folk culture in their areas, including agriculture, crafts, food, customs and dialects. The responses were hand-written in the books. The Answer Books had a similar purpose to the earlier questionnaires sent out in 1937.
