Fruit dish, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain; standing on a crenellated rectangular pedestal base; the dish with curved spreading sides flaring at rim, with a shaped edge, each side formed by two concave curves, and indented corners; twig handles with raised foliate terminals; painted with set pattern 223, the centre of the dish with a pink chrysanthenum circled by underglaze blue and red flowers, with a narrow underglaze blue rectangular border; the waved edge with an underglaze blue and gilt scroll patterned border, issuing large red flowers and smaller pink flowers; underglaze blue and red flowers with green foliage around the pedestal foot, all below a narrow underglaze blue line; gilt band to foot rim and lip, and the moulded handles highlighted with gilt.
