Early Medieval human remains

This is a fragment of probable pelvis from the Inhumation Burial of an Adult. They were buried in an extended supine position in a simple grave oriented West-East. The Burial is from Phase C: 430-659 AD

The more remains were observed during excavation but were heavily degraded and don't seem to have survived the lifting process. The East end of the grave cut was truncated by SK331. It is also neatly parallel with SK330 hinting that SK330 could have been buried deliberately by the side of SK329.

Post excavation report includes some confusion. The Skeleton Catalogue records the fragment as cranium while the bag itself lists it as from the pelvis. The fragment itself is in very poor condition but is more likely to be from a pelvis than cranium.
