Roman intaglio (Minerva)
Oval of cornelian with black inclusions. Face convex. Depicts Minerva standing frontally but facing left. She wears a crested helmet and a belted peplos. In her left hand is a spear and in her right a winged Victory carrying a wreath and a palm. Behind her, on the ground, is a shield. slightly worn.
