Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Decorative breast plate/shield fashioned from stiff dark brown leather. Fastened to the top by a brass buckle is a leather strap to which is attached a circular brass decorative piece with a cut out wheat sheaf design. The plate/shield has six brass studs running from top to bottom and two rectangular pieces either side of the wheat sheaf. At the bottom is a prominent name plate with the maker’s name and location of his workshop.
