Mustard pot, silver with blue glass liner, cylindrical, standing on a flat ring base, pierced vertical sides with applied beading and plain moulding round the foot, applied plainly moulded rim, the cast plain S-scroll handle attached to the cover by a three-part hinge with cast moulded hinge plates, a cast pierced shell-shaped thumbpiece; the sides pierced to form vertical bars crossed by entwined bands, Vitruvian scrolls above and below, all punched and chased with dots and husks, a band of chased husks and milled marks below the rim, chased dashes and worn milling round the upper edge of the cover, a notch for a spoon cut in the rim; the blue glass liner mould-blown to fit the pot and a corresponding notch cut in its rim.
