Caster

Sugar caster, sterling silver, octagonal vase form on a cast moulded stepped spreading octagonal foot (square with concave corners), octagonal baluster body with moulded bands at the shoulder and rim, tall domed octagonal cover with octagonal urn finial, its sides elaborately pierced and engraved with alternating designs of anthemion, scroll and 'Laub und Bandelwerk' motifs incorporating four small roundels engraved alternately with a flowerhead and a small cornucopia, below the pierced panels a stepped moulded band forming a lip, on the side of the body the engraved arms of Williams (two foxes in saltire).
