Tray, hard-paste porcelain, oval form with straight-sided lobed foot-rim and curving sides, a shaped lobed edge to the rim, to either end of the dish the sides extend into solid rococo handles with shell and foliate mouldings; finely painted in puce with to the well a view of European birds perched on spreading branches and surrounded by scattered butterflies, the handles picked out in puce and gilt, a gilt edge to the rim.
