Teapot, hybrid-paste porcelain, old English silver form with slightly spreading foot-rim with a raised band around it, straight sides with a lobed oval section, square shoulder, slightly concave cylindrical neck, plain curving spout, plain high loop handle, round slightly domed cover, to the centre of the cover an urn-shaped finial with a pierced steam-hole through it; transfer-printed in blue and in-filled in vivid red, blue and green with around the exterior sides a design of large sprays of feathery leaves with stylized flower heads, a similar design to the upper and lower sides of the spout, to the shoulder above the spout and handle a small spray of stylized flowers and foliage, circular border around the shoulder of a pattern of blue foliage interspersed with red flower heads between blue bands, the same border to the rim of the cover, the same pattern to the handle, several sprays of stylized flowers and foliage around the top of the cover, a pattern of stylized red petals radiate out from the top of the finial.
