Tower Colliery, film negative
Black and white film negative showing a pit pony 'Lincol' with his ostler Ray Williams, at No. 4 pit bottom, Tower Colliery December 1979. 'Tower Colliery pit pony Dec 1979' is transcribed from original negative bag.
Apparently the pony was difficult to handle, Ray being the only one who could. Later the pony did manage to pull a dram over Ray's leg. Ray never worked underground again.
