Cup and saucer
Cup, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, rounded curving sides, the handle broken off and missing; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the front of the exterior body a classical scene with a nude female figure reclining against a rock with white and purple drapes, the scene enclosed by a cartouche of gilt rococo scrolls, two floral sprigs to the rest of the exterior sides of the cup and a further floral sprig and a leaf sprig to the interior bottom of the bowl, gilt lines around the foot-rim and lip-rim, the gilt to the lip-rim quite worn. The lip-rim slightly chipped. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, curving sides; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a classical scene with a nude female figure reclining against a rock covered by a purple drape, the enamel slightly worn, the scene enclosed by a cartouche of slightly worn gilt rococo scrolls, three floral sprigs around the sides of the well, a gilt edge to the rim. The rim slightly chipped.
