Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top, the flange and underside of the lid partially obscurerd by the frame; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'The Farriers' (although this title is not recorded o the lid), showing figures shoeing two horses in front of a partially tumble-down stonbe building, around the bottom of the print is the inscription "WOUVERMANN PINX", any border which may enclose the print is obscured by the frame.
