Earthenware cup and saucer, 'Cube' shape, octagonal saucer, square well, deep cavetto, narrow flat rim, circular recessed footring. Cup with square foot, sides curving gently outwards, each corner of rim turned outwards, ear shaped handle. Honey coloured glaze, slightly crazed around saucer well. Most of rim, cavetto and outer edge of saucer well, and exterior of cup, painted with a large geometric pattern of flat interlocking blocks of black, yellow, old gold, hair brown, silver/grey, and green enamel; wavy edge to green enamel, and to interlocking silver/grey line. Bubbled green enamel on flat upper part of handle, green enamel and black enamel also bubbled under rim, small green enamel mark just inside rim.
