6 upholstery rings, each is made from a single piece of 2-3mm thick leather which has been cut into a ring shape and wrapped with dark green wool yarn with blue silk yarns wrapped at intervals. A blue silk wrapped cord is gathered up and sewn to one side of the ring using 2 linen threads. The rings are kept together with a piece of string which may or may not be original to the object.
