Type “A” freighter built 1919 as CORSON by American International Shipbuilding Corp., Hog Island, Pennsylvania for the United States Shipping Board. 1920 – Assigned to Export Steamship Corporation and by 1925, she had been purchased by them. She was renamed EXIRIA in 1928. 1941 – Renamed EXCHESTER (same owners, but restyled American Export Lines Incorporated from 1936). 1946 – Renamed EXMOOR (same owner). 1946 – Sold to Parry Navigation Company Inc., New York, and renamed ESTHER. 1947 – Sold to Montijo Company, Panama, and renamed MERIDIAN. She was broken up in 1953.
