Dish

Cardew, Michael (Maker)

Dish, red earthenware, circular with turned inset base, curved sides and round-topped thickened rim; the well coated in white slip with black slip-trailed geometric decoration of a central wavy line flanked on each side by a double arc each enclosing two pairs of perpendicular lines leading up to the rim, covered with a speckled green galena glaze that is most vivid in the bottom and partly covers the underside where it is heavily bubbled.
