Plate, deep cream-coloured earthenware with a yellow tinge to the glaze, circular shape with flat base, curving sides and spreading rim, a moulded feather border and shaped edge to the rim, a raised rosette to the centre of the well with six raised ridges running from the well to the rim; bat-printed in black with a design known as 'Liverpool Birds', to the centre of the well a view of three exotic birds in a landscape, to the rim six vignettes of exotic birds.
