Red and white gingham. Made in about 1947 by Margaret Jenkins when a pupil at Swansea High School for Girls (part of school needlework lesson). Round neck trimmed with white tape. Short puff sleeves, trimmed with white tape. Panel of smocking on front chest worked in green and white mercerized cotton. Back opening to waist, fastened by two buttons on yoke. Hand finished button-holes. All hand stitched.
