The low-walled bow has a keel-like swelling on its underside, coated in white metal, probably tin. The same plating probably once also covered the surface of the groove for an irregular patch survives. The broad, shallow U-shaped groove has a marked ledge on one side, perhaps a product of wear. Part of the loop and the terminal are missing
