Ladle
Baker, Bevans and Irwin, Glamorgan Pottery (1813-1839)
Ladle, earthenware, the bowl with rounded base and rounded curving sides, a number of raised moulded bands around the interior of the rim, the rim slightly lobed, long ridged handle issuing from one side of the bowl, the end of the handle curved over and moulded with a raised medallion shape and scolls, foliate moulding to the tip of the handle; transfer-printed in blue with to the interior bottom of the bowl a spray of flowers and foliage with shells, dentil border to the interior of the rim of the bowl of small circles and diamond shapes issuing small flowers, a spray of flowers and foliage to the end of the handle.
