Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Vessel D95 is an early medieval cooking pot from the 11th to 12th centuries. It includes medium and one very large rim sherd. Other smaller fragments conjoin to the large rim sherd.
Interestingly, you can see that the body of the pot is made without the use of a potter's wheel, but the rim has straight lines indicating it was wheel finished.
The material is dark grey with mixed rounded grits, many quartz-like and with a buff to grey-buff surface.
Thought to be from the same vessel as 2025.7H/1.82 [1219].
