A pilgrim badge depicting Mary and the infant Jesus.
The badge is in the form of an openwork roundel, with the figures of the Virgin and child at the centre. Mary is seated holding the infant Christ and both figures are haloed. The roundel surface is decorated with repeated patterns of circled knops, large rounded pellets and possible quatrefoils , connected by a single 'thread'.The outer edge of the roundel is decorated with a cabled twist along the edge. Semi-circular attachement lugs project from each side of the badge.
The badge is worn. As a result, some surface detail has been lost.
