Figure group of heavy white earthenware with a slightly crackled glaze, standing within an ornate arched structure supported on a irregular oval narrow plinth with a gilt line round. Structure pierced with three arches, the bottom centrally placed arch cut through a wall of brown painted boulders forming a tunnel for a brown bottomed, white sailed boat sailing on white waters. Clumps of extruded grass on either side. Two further arches, side by side, above, in white with a relief pattern of brown zig zags and lozenges, the one on the left containing a small man standing on small white pedestal fringed with extruded green grass supported by the rocks underneath, the one on the right containing a small woman simarly supported. The man wears black shoes, white knee socks, turquoise breeches, jacket outlined in purple, white shirt, an orange? cloak on the left hand side, and wide brimmed hat outlined in purple, holding a white basket in his left hand filled with extruded green clay; woman in picturesque rustic dress of black shoes, white stockings, full white skirt, with bunched ruched pink skirt above, tight closely fitting jacket/bodice outlined in gilt, black hair, white hat and holding an identical basket in her right hand.
