Dark chocolate japan decorated both sides with formalised floral sprays and a continuous band of intersecting circles, all in silver. The lid with a star in silver radiating from the finial. The application of a clear varnish has resulted in a golden tinged surface appearance. Black japan to handle and underside of base.
