Silver arm ring of broad-band type with stamped decoration. Main field decorated with two panels of saltire pattern in indented grooves with four arrow-shaped stamps in each quarter. The head of each arrow being filled with four pellets. Herring bone indented grooves decorate the tapering ends. This example is remarkable for its fine condition and complete state, as arm rings were often cut up as hack silver to form part of an active bullion economy.
