Mug, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain; cylindrical shape, with a squared and double curved shoulder handle; decorated with set pattern 164; transfer-printed and filled in enamels with the Mandarin pattern, in the 'famille rose' palette - a village scene of a seated mandarin and others in front of an oriental house; inside lip, a gilt scrolled border with small cartouches of landscapes in iron red alternating with larger cartouches of birds perched on branches, against a blue sky and above purple trees; gilt band to foot rim, lip, and handle.
