Wheel thrown earthenware vase, footring, lower half narrow and slightly waisted, upper half with swelling sides, slightly narrowing at rim. Pronounced throwing lines in interior of vase, faint on exterior of vase. Vase carved with four large evenly spaced loops pendant from rim andreaching almost to the bottom of the vase. Each loop progressively broadens from rim, crosses about 1/3 from its bottom where the lower part of each loop's sides is feathered with parallel strokes. Large S shaped incision across bottom of each loop. Mustard coloured glaze, pooled in incisions, lighter around edges of carving.
