Wooden model of the Archdruid of Wales, the head of the Gorsedd of the Bards; the model has been shaped of thin cut plywood and the face and costume painted on one side, wearing the traditional costume of the Archruid as designed in 1896 consisting of long white robes, gold gorget and oak leaf tiara; the face is an accurate depiction of the 1914 Archrduid of Wales, Evan Rees (Dyfed); the painted model has two small shaped prongs at base which slot into a plywood stand which is mounted onto a separate stone plinth; two rectangular slots have been cut in the model for each detachable arm, one of which hollds a rolled-up scroll.

Part of a model of the 1914 Gorsedd of the Bards. Made by the Vale of Clwyd Toy Factory in Trefnant. The company provided employment for wounded soldiers during and after the First World War. As a result of the outbreak of war, the Bangor National Eisteddfod of 1914 was postponed until 1915.
