A greetings card in English sent in 1933-34 by Mrs E.S. Hartland, Gloucester, depicting the Welsh Calennig custom of the skewered "rosy apple decorated with oats, raisins & holly ..." Mrs Hartland made this herself "from memory and took it to the Folk Lore Congress in London in 1891. It was photographed and presented in their transactions."
