ELIZABETH GRAINGE (350 tons), built by William Jones & Son at Alltfawr in 1845. Measures 103.7/23.8/17.4. She carried a woman figure on the head and the builder retained 16 shares (¼ interest), John James Melhuish held another 16 shares and other 32 owned by John Stockdale of Liverpool - who sold them to Henry Winch of Liverpool in 1847. Registered originally at Pwllheli (No. 26 of May 19, 1845) registered 'de raro' at Liverpool 24 April 1848. Sailed from Liverpool to Bussora, Lima and Panama in late 1840's and early 1850's and her masters included Thomas Melhuish (in 1845), Rea (1848-9), Williams (1850-2) and S. Planner (1853-4).
