Tureen with cover
Tureen and cover, pearl-glazed earthenware, oval trumpet shaped foot, boxy oval form, two loop handles, domed shouldered cover with a flat rim, arched handle swelling in the middle; foot undecorated, body and cover decorated with an orange souffle ground, the rims reserved with borders of sepia ribbon loops within narrow brown lines and black lines, cover handle encircled with a border of reserved ovals painted with sepia veins and outlined in brown, area under handle painted brown, brown lines to rims, between foot and body and above foot, handles painted with gilt lines and ovals, cover handle decorated with a conventional gilt pattern of a flower and and ovals.
