Collar
Open top or split collar. The part of the body (after wale?) in contact with the horse is made of leather rather than textile. The collar is held closed with a short length of orange (polypropelene?) baler twine. Stuffed with straw with a layer of woollen fibres between the straw and leather [R.P; 24.05.2006]
