The 'Tall Story' bag by Alexander McQueen, autumn-winter collection 2020. Bag is made from leather but the exterior is covered in woollen fabric which has a woven pattern resembling patchwork. The patchwork pattern was inspired by the Wrexham Tailor's Quilt (object number 35.632). The colours are mainly black, red and shades of grey. The front shows a black cat and there is a snake on the back. Both front and back also have floral elements. The background is an abstract geometric pattern. The bag can be worn in two ways: hand-held using the metal handles, or worn over the shoulder using the leather straps. Contains one main compartment and one inner patch pocket. This pocket has a smaller compartment on the outside which accommodates two credit cards; it is stamped with 'Alexander McQueen Made in Italy' in gold lettering. The outside of the bag has a zip pocket, with a black leather tag embossed with the Alexander McQueen logo. Magnetic snap button fastening which also has 'Alexander McQueen' embossed in the metal fittings. Black leather trims and bottom reinforcement. The edges of the leather appear to be finished with a black synthetic material. Piping along side and bottom edges as reinforcement.
