Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
A fragment of metalworking mould.
This fragment has the partial impression of a probably circular mount with a raised border, central boss and traces of two raised rigdes extending towards but stopping short of the external border (resembling a cell divide). Identification of the type of object being cast is difficult, but the impression appears to be a mount, probably originally part of 2017.4H/3.9
The fabric has a dark grey core and inner surface with a slightly paler orange exterior surface.
