Writing desk with a lift up sloping lid enclosing three small drawers with a single long darwer (later) below. Flanked by applied split colums on a stand with (an added) single drawer raised on square legs with corner spandrels united by a H- shaped stretcher. Missing handles to drawer. The desk in it's present form was probably constructed c.1760 by adapting an earlier writing slope. Lock not original, said to have belonged to Arthur Blayney, Gregynog Hall c.1760-95.
