Single-sided, oval-shaped prayer bookmark.
Oval panel of coated tabby-woven cotton with pinked edge (zig-zag), adhered to an oval lining of stiffened tabby-woven linen (smooth edge). Central oval has printed inscription surrounding traditional Roman Catholic symbol of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the crown of thorns and a cross. Image printed in red, yellow and black, inscription printed in black. Oval is framed by a crochet border using cream mercerised cotton thread (2-ply, S-twist) which has a pale pink silk (synthetic?) ribbon threaded through it. The ribbon is tied into a bow on the lower left.
