Doll

Wooden doll in animal skin clothing and boots. One of a group of six (13.41.15.1-6), made in 1907

Wooden head with carved nose and painted features covered by animal skin hood. Body, no arms and no joints, dressed in an animal skin dress with long sleeves, tan coloured with white animal skin trim to skirt, lapels and waist of dress and to trim of hood. Front of body has red stitches across abdomen and back of body has taupe stitches across lower back. Feet carved to look like boots and also covered with white animal skin material (which has been adhered), stitched at front to look like laces. Bottom of feet read "WHITE SEA '08". Three strands of yellow, blue, black and white beads, two hanging and one looped, are finished with two metal disks, one at the end of each strand.
