Teapot, earthenware, standing on a rounded spreading waisted foot-rim, ridged bulbous body sloping inwards at the shoulder then flaring out to a round collar at the neck which slopes upwards to a slightly raised lip-rim, curving ridged spout, the tip of which broken off, scrolled handle, the cover missing; transfer-printed in black and overpainted in red, blue and yellow with the Florentine China 'Vase' pattern, to either side of the exterior body a design of a stylized vase issuing flowers, a pile of books and further flowers enclosed within a rectangular border of narrow scrolls which issues flowers and foliage, border to the collar of flowers, scrolls and red and blue panels, a stylized vase issuing flowers to the base of the spout, flowers and foliage to the handle.
