Cow byre

This cow byre comes from Waunfawr. It would have been used to house a couple of cows over winter for milking, or for housing calves, as required. It has walls built of large mountain boulders, bonded with clay, and a roof covered with small slates. It probably dates to the late 18th or early 19th century.
