Saw set
A plier-type saw set for use with F2012.8.6 handsaw, both by Disston, Hilada, Philadelphia. The tool is designed to set the saw teeth i.e. to bend them sideways to left and right alternatively, so that they cut a groove a little wider than the blade itself and so reduce friction. Closing the spring loaded handle operates two small plungers which forces the tooth over. G.Beech 25/07/13
